The right PATH for trans health

Dr Sarah Hough, Ryan Goulding, Dr Brendon Glon, Morrigan O’Malley, Dr Valeria Venditti, Rúadh Knight, Adam McBride, Ky Walker, and Dr John Gilmore wrote an article for the Irish Medical Times on the launch of the Professional Association for Trans Health Ireland (PATHI) at the inaugural TransCare conference. This article highlighted the history and activities of other professional associations for trans health across the globe and how PATHI will advance trans and gender diverse (TGD) health within the Irish context.

"By building a network where healthcare professionals can gain and exchange knowledge, develop research, and promote person-centred, evidence-based, and equitable care, PATHI will effectively improve TGD healthcare in Ireland. PATHI will also work to ensure that policy, services, and practices in the field of gender-affirming care are co-designed and co-produced with the TGD community."
