Join the Blueprints for Better Care Workshops

PATHI
PATHI

The Professional Association for Trans Health Ireland (PATHI) and University College Cork (UCC) are conducting research to better understand what an effective, inclusive, and affirming trans healthcare clinic should look like in Ireland. Through Blueprints for Better Care: Co-Designing Inclusive Trans Health Clinics with Community Members and Providers, we are seeking insights from both trans and gender diverse (TGD) community members and healthcare providers to help shape meaningful, responsive, and evidence-informed healthcare pathways.

Through a series of world café-style workshops, we will explore how members of the trans community and healthcare providers imagine the design of a healthcare clinic based in the principles of informed consent and self-determination. The workshops will take place in:

  • Cork on 18 April from 10am to 2pm
  • Dublin on 9 May from 10am to 2pm
  • Galway on 16 May from 10am to 2pm
  • Carlow on 23 May from 10am to 2pm
  • Donegal TBC

We would greatly appreciate your participation if you meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • You are aged 18 or older
  • You are either a member of the trans or gender diverse community or a healthcare provider
  • You have either accessed any form of healthcare in Ireland or provided any form of healthcare to TGD people in Ireland

Your voice and lived experience are vital in helping improve the future of TGD healthcare services. Participation is voluntary, confidential, and will involve sharing your experiences and perspectives.

If you are interested in taking part or would like more information, please contact Ryan Biskupovic-Goulding on ryanbiskupovic-goulding@ucc.ie or express an interest by clicking here.

Thank you for considering contributing to this important work. Together, we can help shape a more affirming and accessible healthcare system.
